Calling all friends and family with children between the ages of 3 to 5 for a stellar opportunity!

In the HHS Play Group, your child could participate in engaging planned activities and learn crucial skills to build up their confidence for their future classroom experiences. This is a great program for their first student teacher relationship. They engage in activities like: shaving cream art, making sensory bottles, singing and dancing, reading books, block play, housekeeping, sand and water play, and more!

We have three courses at Hamilton High School about child development and education. The students who choose to enroll in this elective will be your child's “teacher” during Play Group.  The HHS Play Group class is only offered to juniors and seniors who have previously passed the ECE 1: Foundations course. During the Play Group course (called ECE 2: Careers/ACCT), students will have 9-12 weeks of instruction focusing on achieving their Assistant Childcare Teacher Certificate from DPI and then about 5 weeks of Play Group.

This Play Group session is 4/26/23 - 5/26/23 with the weekly schedule of Monday through Friday, 9:35 - 10:50.  The only fee for the entire session is $25.

As a student of this class last year, I learned a great deal of how to implement activities to common core attributes such as math, science, and art to appeal to the age group I aspire to teach in my future as a professional teacher. Kids that will go into this program have first hand experience with structured play, craft making, music, movement and rhythm, and so much more. Please reach out and consider if you have siblings, cousins, neighbors or anyone who could be interested in this bright opportunity. Reach out to Mrs. Farrell, email farrja@hamilton.k12.wi.us.

Hope to see you there!
