The Premier League enters its 24th week of matches this weekend with some seriously intriguing matchups. Burnley will host Liverpool in a battle. Meanwhile, Aston Villa welcome Manchester United to London as they look to continue their push to be top players. The Red Devils look to find themselves as a team and require a change in the foreseeable future.

The Game of the Week

Burnley (3-4-16) v Liverpool (15-6-2)

Liverpool: The day was brisk and young as was the Liverpool training ground, but Jurgen Klopp had other ideas. He announced that at the end of the season, he will step back from the head coach position at Liverpool. This news shocked the fans as it did for the team. With news like this, players like Van Dijk and Alexander-Arnold look like they are aiming to leave the club. This leaves everyone in awe for next season, but this season they are in the championship contention. Liverpool sits in first place in front of Arsenal and they continue to prove why they are a top team. Nunez has continued to play well being an unsung hero in the league, despite receiving heavy criticism from the fans. The team continues to play and rally around their leaders, Van Dijk and Salah, to win their games, and they will need to compete in this contest. Burnley has been stuck in the bottom ranks since the beginning of the season; however, they are looking to change this. They will never back down a fight but they might not have the firepower to win this time. As their deflated record holds them down they look to step up in this intense and important matchup.

Aston Villa (14-4-5) v Manchester United (12-2-9)

Manchester United: Underperforming is not a new word for Manchester United as they have continued to disappoint this season. Expectations were set high when new and young players like Onana and Hojlund entered the picture but this has not been reflected in the team. Hojlund shows promise as a striker as he contributes to the assists and the goals at a great rate. Onana on the other hand has had a rocky start, letting in multiple goals that came from his unforced errors. Fans have turned on him and instead voted for him to be benched. Last week was a comeback for Onana and Man United as they took the victory in a 3-0 match. Unfortunately, Martinez has been placed on the injury report, listed for eight weeks. Maguire must form a new partnership in the defense to ensure this match goes in their favor. Aston Villa have come out in 4th place which has surprised everyone, as this team has rejuvenated their past success without past players. Coming off of a 5-0 win against Brentford, Villa look to continue their success as they step into a championship contender role. No one expected Villa to be here which adds to their fire and fury. Spectators look in awe as these two giants clash on Sunday at 11:30. I see Manchester United winning.
