Achintya Bhan and Tirish Suresh

After Thanksgiving break we are back and let’s take a look at our current results. Achintya’s overall performance is 75% (102/136) and Tirish’s overall performance is 59% (80/136).

Thursday, December 5th

Packers vs Lions:

Achintya: The Packers and Lions are set to start off this exciting week of matchups. For the Packers they are looking in good form especially stars Jordan Love and Josh Jacobs. Whereas, the Lions have squeaked out close wins recently and they keep losing people to injuries. Look for Jared Goff and Amon-Ra St.Brown to carry the load for the Lions. A close matchup here with a high scoring but expect a win for the traveling Packers 27-24.

Tirish: The Packers and Lions are set for an exciting matchup, with Jordan Love looking to spark Green Bay’s offense against a tough Detroit defense. On the other side, Jared Goff will rely on Amon-Ra St. Brown and Jahmyr Gibbs to keep the Lions’ high-scoring rhythm alive. It's shaping up to be a close game, but the Lions might pull off a 27-24 victory in front of their home crowd.

Sunday, December 8th

Browns vs Steelers:

Achintya: Both the Browns and Steelers are locked in for this AFC North clash and expect a feisty affair. With both T.J Watt and Myless Garret anchoring their teams expect both QBs Russel Wilson and Jameis Winston to be under constant pressure. Close game here but the Steelers have the edge with a good offense as well and will win 28-14.

Tirish: The Browns and Steelers are set for another classic AFC North clash, and it should be a gritty, defensive battle. With T.J. Watt and Myles Garrett anchoring their respective defenses, expect plenty of pressure on the quarterbacks. The Steelers have a slight edge with home-field advantage and a more consistent running game. Final score prediction: Steelers 23, Browns 20.

Saints vs Giants:

Achintya: For both the Giants and Saints this is a season to forget but for right now the Saints can keep a little bit a hope. Derek Carr and Alvin Kamara lead the way for the Saints and are on fire. The Giants have their star Malik Nabers who will look to get opportunities early and often. Expect a close game but the Saints are the more complete team expect a Saints win 24-14.

Tirish: The Saints head to MetLife Stadium to take on the struggling Giants, and it's shaping up to be a tough matchup for New York. With Derek Carr leading the Saints offense and Alvin Kamara finding his rhythm on the ground, the Giants, led by Tommy DeVito, might have a hard time keeping up. Expect the Saints' defense to capitalize on the Giants' inconsistencies, especially with their pass rush. Prediction: Saints win 24-17.

Jets vs Dolphins:

Achintya: The Jets and Dolphins are here facing off in an exciting AFC East division rivalry match. The return of Tua has breathed life into the Dolphins offense and gotten the team overall back on track. The Jets are struggling this season and much of that is attributed to the weak QB play of Aaron Rodgers who seems like a shell of his Green Bay Packer self. Expect a quick and easy win for the Dolphins 35-10.

Tirish: The Jets and Dolphins face off in an exciting AFC East battle this weekend. With Tua Tagovailoa leading Miami’s high-powered offense featuring Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle, the Dolphins will aim to maintain their dominance. Meanwhile, the Jets, relying on their strong defense and Aaron Rodgers under center, will look to pull off a major upset. Expect a close contest, but the Dolphins are likely to edge it out with a 27-17 win.

Jaguars vs Titans:

Achintya: The Jaguars and Titans are both locked for this divisional clash with both teams hoping for a better result than last week. For the Jaguars their QB Trevor Lawrenece took a scary hit last week so keep an eye out for the injury report. The Titans are struggling this season both offensively and defensively this year. Expect more of the same here with the Jaguars squeaking out a close win 17-14.

Tirish: The Jaguars and Titans are set for a divisional clash, with Jacksonville hoping to leverage their home advantage at EverBank Stadium. Trevor Lawrence and the Jaguars have been the stronger squad this season, and their dynamic offense could cause problems for a Titans defense that has struggled in recent weeks. Meanwhile, the Titans, led by Tony Pollard, will aim to control the game on the ground. I see Jacksonville edging this one out, 24-20, in a competitive battle.

Falcons vs Vikings:

Achintya: Everyone coming into this game is expecting the Vikings to roll all over the Falcons but that’s not the case. Hear me out. Kirk Cousins' revenge game is here! Watch out for Kirk to set the Vikings defense on fire with the help of Bijan Robinson and Drake London. The Vikings have been out of sync the last few weeks and will look to Justin Jefferson to bring them back on track. Expect a close win for the Falcons 28-21.

Tirish: The Falcons and Vikings clash this week in Minneapolis, with the Vikings favored thanks to their home-field edge and recent momentum. Expect Justin Jefferson to shine in the passing game, while Bijan Robinson could be a key playmaker for Atlanta. This one feels close, but I’ll take the Vikings to come out on top 27-21, keeping their playoff hopes alive.

Panthers vs Eagles:

Achintya: The Eagles are looking like the best team in the NFL with dark horse MVP candidate Saquon Barkley and the QB play of Jalen Hurts. The Panthers have been playing some good football recently with Bryce Young starting to play up to first overall pick expectations. Expect a closer game then many expect but Eagles win 28-20.

Tirish: The Panthers head to Philadelphia for a tough matchup against the Eagles, and it's shaping up to be a battle of resilience versus dominance. Bryce Young will look to rally Carolina’s offense, but Jalen Hurts and the Eagles’ high-powered attack, led by A.J. Brown and Saquon Barkley, might be too much to handle. Expect the Eagles to control the tempo, ultimately pulling off a solid win. My prediction: Eagles 28, Panthers 17.

Raiders vs Buccaneers:

Achintya: The Raiders and Buccaneers will face off in a fun matchup with both riding a wave of good performances. The Buccaneers are led by the superb play of quarterback Baker Mayfield and running back Bucky Irving. The Raiders will have to rely on Brock Bowers, arguably the best prospect of this season’s draft! Expect a fun high scoring game with the more complete team the Buccaneers to come up on top 35-24.

Tirish: The Raiders and Buccaneers face off this week in Tampa, with both teams looking to gain momentum as the season winds down. The Bucs, led by Baker Mayfield, have been strong at home and will look to take advantage of a Raiders squad adjusting to changes on offense. Expect Maxx Crosby to lead the Raiders' defense in applying pressure, but Tampa's balanced attack, featuring Mike Evans and Rachaad White, could prove too much. My prediction: Buccaneers edge out the Raiders, 27-20.

Seahawks vs Cardinals:

Achintya: The Seahawks and Cardinals are both ready for this NFC West division rivalry game. The Seahawks are led by Geno Smith and JSN who are both showing solid rapport. The Cardinals are led by Kyler Murray, Trey Mcbride, and Marvin Harrison Jr who are all playing at a high level. Expect a close game but the Cardinals have the edge 28-17.

Tirish: The Seahawks and Cardinals clash in what should be a fun NFC West matchup. With Geno Smith leading a balanced Seattle attack and Kyler Murray returning to form for Arizona, both teams will aim to make a statement. Given Seattle’s strong play at home and Arizona's struggles on the road, the Seahawks are likely to have the upper hand. Final prediction: Seahawks 28, Cardinals 17.

Bears vs 49ers:

Achintya: The upcoming game between the Bears and 49ers looks to be a one-sided affair with the 49ers being overwhelmingly better on paper. However, the 49ers aren’t playing up to it and have struggled as of recently. The Bears are playing really good even if their record doesn’t totally match it at 4-8 with many of their losses coming in one score games. Expect a close game but an upset led by a great game by Caleb Williams the Chicago star 24-17.

Tirish: For the upcoming game between the Bears and 49ers on December 8, 2024, the 49ers are favored to come out on top. With their stronger overall roster, including key players like George Kittle and Deebo Samuel, they're likely to outmatch the Bears, who are still working through inconsistencies with rookie Caleb Williams. Expect a competitive game, but ultimately, San Francisco should pull ahead with a 25-20 victory.

Bills vs Rams:

Achintya: The Bills are taking on the Rams at SoFi stadium in what should be a thrilling match. The Bills led by Josh Allen and James Cook are both playing at an All-Pro level. The Rams will be looking for Matthew Stafford to carry the load as he has for most of this season. Expect a close and high scoring matchup with the Bills coming up on top 28-21.

Tirish: The Buffalo Bills will take on the Los Angeles Rams at SoFi Stadium this weekend. Josh Allen has been in stellar form, leading the Bills with his playmaking ability, while James Cook provides a solid ground game. The Rams will need a big performance from Matthew Stafford and Kyren Williams to keep up, especially after an impressive win over New Orleans. Expect a close matchup, but Buffalo's offensive depth should give them the edge. I’m predicting a 26-23 win for the Bills.

Chargers vs Chiefs:

Achintya: The upcoming matchup between the Chargers and Chiefs is a rivalry matchup that is always fun. The Chargers have reemerged with the superb QB play of Justin Herbert. However, on the flip side the Chiefs have struggled as of late with both Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce looking to fix their issues. Looks to be a close on here but expect the Chiefs to still be a little bit better 27-20.

Tirish: The upcoming matchup between the Chargers and the Chiefs is shaping up to be a thrilling Sunday night game. Kansas City, led by Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce, is favored but hasn't been dominant in recent games, often winning by small margins. The Chargers, with Justin Herbert at the helm and an impressive defense, are looking to snap a six-game losing streak to the Chiefs. This will be a tough one, but the Chiefs should edge out a win, with a final score of 24-20.

Monday, December 9th

Bengals vs Cowboys:

Achintya: The Bengals and Cowboys are both looking weak defensively and strong offensively with both teams often being in high scoring shootouts. Should be a fun one for the fans as the Bengals led by Ja’Marr Chase and Joe Burrow will be promising a good show. The Cowboys led by CeeDee Lamb and Micah Parsons will be trying their hardest to keep up but will end up losing in the end with a high scoring match ending at 45-34 with the Bengals coming out on top.

Tirish: The Bengals are looking strong heading into their game against the Cowboys, with Joe Burrow ready to lead the offense and Ja'Marr Chase set to make an impact. The Cowboys, however, will be relying on Cooper Rush and CeeDee Lamb to give them a fighting chance. Despite the Cowboys' resilience, the Bengals' offense should overpower them, especially with their balance and defensive edge. Expect the Bengals to win this one with a score of 27-22.
