The Women’s Center in Waukesha serves victims of domestic abuse, child abuse, sexual abuse, and human trafficking. The shelter specializes in emergency sheltering, transitional living, support groups, rape crisis response, and other aid to victims of abuse. Their 24-hour hotline provides victims with a quick resource to escape harmful situations and seek the help they need.

This shelter takes in donations from the public to ensure its residents feel supported in a time that leaves many hopeless. We are helping to support these victims by creating a drive where students can help impact local women and children by donating necessary supplies. Bins will be placed at the front office, cafeteria doors, and room E174 to collect supplies for the women’s shelter until May 27th. Please bring in new items including:

  • Canned goods

  • Shampoo*

  • Conditioner*

  • Soap

  • Lotion

  • Body wash

  • Slippers

  • Socks

  • Other toiletries

*The shelter specifically has a high need for diverse haircare.
