Bitsy Palicka, a junior at Hamilton and pitcher for Hamilton’s girls softball team, has recently committed to the University of Wisconsin–Madison to play softball. Palicka has been playing softball for 10 years. One notable achievement in Palicka’s career is being named Wisconsin’s 2026 Softball Player of the Year by Gatorade.
Kaylee Gendrich, Hamilton’s varsity softball coach, writes about Palicka: “What makes Bitsy special isn't just her elite talent, but the relentless work ethic behind it that nobody sees. She is quiet, focused, and driven by one thing: doing whatever it takes to help her team win. She lets her actions do the talking, and her calm composure and genuine team-first mentality set the standard for Charger Softball. She makes everyone around her better simply by how she carries herself every day. I couldn't be prouder of everything she’s achieved.”
