This year, Hamilton High School’s football team had a very successful run. Once again taking the title of GMC champions, the Chargers run came to an end after a tough match against Franklin deep in the playoffs. This season we had 30 seniors with 12 of them committing to several different colleges. Read on to see where each of them is going to further their football careers!

“It has been one heck of a journey with these men over the last four years. From zero wins when they were Freshmen to back to back state semifinal appearances and 3 peat GMC champs is pretty special. It all has to do with their love for each other and their unwavering commitment to this program. They are great players, but more importantly phenomenal young men.”

UW-LaCrosse

WHY YOU COMMITTED: I committed to LaCrosse because I believe that it is the best fit for me and offers everything I want in a college.

MOST EXCITED FOR: I’m most excited to meet new people and become a part of something special.

SHOUTOUT: I’d like to shout out to my parents for driving hundreds of hours for me to find the right fit. I truly appreciate it and couldn’t have decided without them.

Carter Schilling

UW-LaCrosse

WHY YOU COMMITTED: I decided to commit to UW-Lacrosse because after visiting multiple times, it felt like an amazing fit for me, the campus is super nice, it is close to home, and its football program is elite.

MOST EXCITED FOR: I am most excited to meet my new teammates and have a great experience playing football at Lacrosse next fall.

SHOUTOUT: I’d like to shout out to my parents. They helped me make this decision, and they are always there to push me to go above and beyond in everything I do.

Dawson Krueger

UW-Platteville

WHY YOU COMMITTED: I picked UW-Platteville because I think it was the best fit for me football-wise and location-wise. I kind of like country life more than city life, and football has my type of play imputed into the team.

MOST EXCITED FOR: I am excited about meeting new people and learning all the new things about my position and the defense at Platteville.

SHOUTOUT: I would like to shout out to my mom and dad. They are two people who never gave up on me and always helped me through my downs and ups. If I ever needed anything, they were there for me at any time.

Dominic LaLicata

UW-LaCrosse

WHY YOU COMMITTED: I decided to commit to UW-LaCrosse because of the great campus, good business school, and the football team is one of the best in the country for D3. After visiting the college a few times, I knew that UW LaCrosse had everything I was looking for.

MOST EXCITED FOR: I'm most excited for the chance to play at the next level and be a part of a team that can compete for a championship. I am also excited that I get the chance to continue to play football after high school.

SHOUTOUT: My dad has always supported me and showed me how hard work pays off. His advice and guidance have led me to be a better student and better football player.

Jacoby Krill

Long Island University

WHY YOU COMMITTED: I committed to Long Island because I like the coaches and the level of competition D1 football brings. I also chose it because I know I’ll get developed to the best of my ability there.

MOST EXCITED FOR: I’m most excited to try to earn some playing time as a true freshman.

SHOUTOUT: Someone I'd like to thank in this whole process is my mom and dad. They stuck with me and helped me throughout the recruiting process and took me on a bunch of visits with no questions asked.

LaDainian Mielke

UW-Platteville

WHY YOU COMMITTED: I liked that they had my major, and they have a weight room that I am really excited to get into. Also, their weight coach or strength coach is super good.

MOST EXCITED FOR: I am most excited to get to meet all the guys and get in the weight room.

SHOUTOUT: I would like to shout out Coach Gumm and just thank him for all he has done for me as a player but also everything he has done for the program—taking it from a program that was struggling to get a win to a team that has won conference three years in a row.

Nick Kihn

University of Minnesota Duluth

WHY YOU COMMITTED: I committed to UMD because they were planning on filling the wide receiver position group and by the end of the day on July 19, they were no longer recruiting my position group. I then decided to commit there because they were my top choice for the schools that offered me. I did it, and I’m happy with my decision.

MOST EXCITED FOR: I’m excited for this upcoming football season because I’m playing with a new team that will give me a ton of different experiences on and off the field.

SHOUTOUT: Throughout this process, Coach Gumm has been a big factor in my recruitment. He’s reached out to so many schools for me and has been one of my biggest supporters, and I’m truly blessed to have him as my coach.

Tyler Hatcher

Carroll University

WHY YOU COMMITTED: I am committed to playing at Carroll University because they are giving me the opportunity to play quarterback. A lot of other schools have said I was not tall enough to play quarterback for them but Carroll said otherwise. Just knowing that a school can be accepting is the reason why I chose this college.

MOST EXCITED FOR: I am really looking forward to hanging out with the guys on the team. Luckily, I am able to already meet them because I live close by, and I can’t wait to work football with them for the next four years.

SHOUTOUT: I would like to shout out my dad. Even though he is not here today, he is the reason why I worked so hard this year and gave it my all. I always remember being a kid throwing the ball with him and my brother Logan in the backyard. Keeping him in my heart and memories really helped me strive throughout this season.

Dante Thao

UW-Stevens Point

WHY YOU COMMITTED: I picked UW Stevens Point because I fell in love with the campus and the town. The people are great and the food is even better.

MOST EXCITED FOR: I’m most excited to meet my new teammates and to be able to just play football.

SHOUTOUT: I would like to shout out to my dad because he was the first person who really got me into sports. He is always there when I need him.

Andrew Eichmann

St. Thomas University

WHY YOU COMMITTED: I committed to St. Thomas because I think it is the best place for me to grow personally and athletically.

MOST EXCITED FOR: I am most excited about the chance to win a conference championship since they were so close last year.

SHOUTOUT: Both of my parents. They have helped me to be better in school and on the field for my whole life.

Carson Clark

UW-Eau Claire

WHY YOU COMMITTED: I decided to commit to UW-Eau Claire because it is close to home, and I wanted to be closer to my parents. Also, the campus is very nice and fits my style. Lastly, I have a very good relationship with the football coaches, and they gave me a lot of confidence.

MOST EXCITED FOR: I am most excited about meeting more football players from all over and also being able to play in the best D3 football division in the nation (some say). I am excited to build relationships with my teammates.

SHOUTOUT: I would say my dad because he has helped me when times got hard and always pushes me to be the best I can be in everything I do. I wouldn’t be where I am today without my dad.
