Jossie, Snuggles, Max, Luna, Cooper, Buddy, Rocky, Teddy. Dogs? Cats? Maybe a fish? Maybe you’ve had a pet at one point in your life, maybe you still have one; they may be helping you a little bit more than you think. This week, we’re showing some appreciation to our favorite furry friends.

Having some fun with animals can decrease your cortisol levels, which means less stress. They can even lower blood pressure! Not to mention, animals are great at support. They can reduce your loneliness, increase your feeling of social support, and boost your mood! Plus, they can increase self-confidence, physical activity, and reduce anxiety.

Overall, exposure to animals is a win-win for mental health. No matter what kind of animal it is! Watching fish swim can help you feel calmer. Even lizards are awesome friends. Pick your favorite animal, and appreciate them!

So this week, take some time to relax with your pets. And if you can’t, enjoy some adorable pictures online!

Have an amazing week from us at Charger Press!
