A Night of Two One-Act Plays
Photo submitted by Hamilton Drama Society.
This fall, Hamilton Drama Director Sarah Plamann tried something different for the fall play. Rather than doing one full-length play(120ish minutes), she chose to put on 2 one-act plays, each about 35 minutes in length.
Ms. Plamann directs the show A Game which centers around a social experiment gone-wrong. This is the Hamilton Drama competitive one-act for 2025, which has already competed at Districts and will be competing at Sectionals on November 8 for the opportunity to qualify for State, which is at UW-Stevens Point.
The second one-act is called Paper or Plastic, and is directed by Mr. Wroblewski, who is a student teacher at Silver Spring Intermediate, as well as an alumni of Hamilton Drama. Mr. Wroblewski has assistant directed many shows at Hamilton, but this is his first Hamilton show as the sole director. This play centers around a teen girl’s first day at her new job at the grocery store.
The show will begin with A Game, followed by an intermission, and then Paper or Plastic. The performances begin Friday, November 7, and will show throughout the weekend. The show schedule is:
Friday, November 7 at 7:00pm.
Saturday, November 8 at 7:00pm.
Sunday, November 9 at 2:00pm.
Tickets can be purchased online or at the door of the Hamilton Fine Arts Center prior to the performance. Come support HHS Drama and see some terrific shows!
