Ten Hamilton High School students have been honored in the Pewaukee Area Arts Council (PAAC) 2025 Showcase of Art. This year, 259 students from 15 Waukesha County schools participated. A total of 485 entries were submitted across three categories: digital/photography, 2D artworks and 3D artworks.

The following Hamilton High School students were recognized:

Emily LaFore - Best in Show

Artist Statement:

"Naivety" explores how young children are naive to the finite, greyscale dreariness of reality. Often existing in their own little world, I chose to compose the young subjects in bright oil paint.

Melina Koehn - 1st place in 2-D artworks

Hailey Berres - 2nd place in 2-D artworks

Artist Statement:

This piece was inspired by my grandma's dog who is getting old. I wanted to give them a gift to remember him so that he could live for a longer time in their heart.

Ace Silloway - 2nd place in digital/photography

Artist Statement:

I explore the consuming nature of digital technology and its impact on peoples identity. It represents the way media pulls us in, blurring the lines between reality and the digital world.

Elise Damato - Honorable mention in 2-D artworks

Artist Statement:

The old man achieved a new purpose through having a dog, and the dog was given a second chance at life by getting adopted. The second life is represented by the gold radiating through the old man.

Morgan Matusek - Honorable mention in 2-D artworks

Artist Statement:

This painting was a dream my dad had. In the dream he was a prisoner and got shot by soldiers. Before he got shot, he told them he forgave them in their language, which was German.

Caitlyn Dieman - Honorable mention in digital/photography

Artist Statement:

This photograph captures a moment of juxtaposition in Central Park, New York. The solidarity of the musicians performance against the monumental beauty of the surrounding architecture.

Abigail Lor - Honorable mention in digital/photography

Artist Statement:

What inspired this piece was my love for this movie called "Deep Sea", where a story is told and bright colors are shown in the sea of this story.

Taner Schulz - Honorable mention in digital/photography

Artist Statement:

Inspired by Ezra Mitchell's dynamic energy and resilience, this piece captures the motion, intensity, and dedication of an athlete.

Claire Schumacher - Honorable mention in digital/photography

Artist Statement:

I was exploring shutter speed and how it can convey movement. By moving the focal point of the lens while taking the photo, the colors and shapes look like they are jumping out of the photo.
