College Commits: Keiveana Petersons

Keiveana Petersons, a senior at Hamilton, has recently committed to Wisconsin Lutheran to play volleyball. Keiveana has been playing since 6th grade and signed as a right side.
Petersons’ teammate, Brooke Baldwin, says, “ Keiveana has brought so much personality and energy to the team. She is always one that instantly lifts the team’s energy and makes Hamilton volleyball so much fun.”

What do you intend to major in?
Criminal defense.
What is your favorite pre-game song that gets you ready to play?

What is your favorite memory from playing volleyball?
My favorite memory from volleyball is all the types of friendships you make.
What is one lesson you have learned from volleyball that has helped you in life?
One lesson I have learned from volleyball is that no matter if you play or not, always make it the best.
What drives you as an athlete?
Probably not being good enough and trying to work 10x harder than other people and to get where I want to be.
What will you miss most about playing for Hamilton?
I will miss the coaches and the other players.
What are you most excited about playing for Wisconsin Lutheran?
What I am most excited for at Wisconsin Lutheran is all the new people I will meet and the new traditions I will be involved in.
What is one piece of advice that you would give to someone who is trying to play volleyball in college?
If you want to play volleyball at the next level, push yourself to be great and take every criticism and use it to make yourself a better player.
Is there anyone you would like to shout out that has helped you in your athletic journey?
I would like to shout out my parents for getting me into the sport and seeing my dreams be pursued. I would like to thank the coaches for all the lessons I have learned on the way; I will definitely use them to my advantage.
