Seiler’s teammate, senior Tyler Shambow says about her: “Allie is a great teammate, she works very hard and everything she’s earned she deserves! She is super dedicated to school, family, and swimming. I’ve swam with Allie since 5th or 6th grade, and she has always been a really close friend of mine. I’m super excited to see all she will accomplish both as a future nurse and in the pool.”

What do you intend to major in?
Nursing
What is your favorite pre-game song that gets you ready to compete?
I don't typically listen to music at meets. I feel like it distracts me. Some things I do to get ready are warm up my body before my race and visualize my race.
What is your favorite memory from swim?
My favorite memory from swimming was when my teammates and I won the 200 free relay at summer state in 2025. We were not expecting to win at all but we did and it was super exciting and fun for us.
What is one lesson you have learned from swim that has helped you in life?
I have learned how much your attitude towards something can impact your performance. In swimming if you think negatively about practices or a race you are going to perform badly. Although when positively thinking about a race you are likely going to perform well. This has applied to my academic life, always going into tests and exams with a positive attitude and confidence.
What drives you as an athlete?
I like to compete. Seeing myself drop time and improve motivates me to continue to practice harder.

What will you miss most about competing for Hamilton?
I will miss my team. We have created many memories over the past couple of years and it will be sad to leave.
What are you most excited about swimming for Marquette?
My freshman year will be the first year of Marquette's swimming program. I am excited to be a part of building the team and program. I am also excited to make new friends and get my gear.
What is one piece of advice that you would give to someone who is trying to swim in college?
Don't rule out the schools you would "never go to". For me, Marquette was one of those schools I thought I would never go to. My dad had me go and visit the campus and my mind was completely changed, and of course now I am going there. I would've never thought I would go to Marquette but now I am very excited. So my advice would be to not say no to schools that you haven't given a chance yet.
Is there anyone you would like to shout out that has helped you in your athletic journey?
My friends and family. Not only do they support me, they make the sport much more enjoyable. Swimming is a sport where it is very easy to feel burnt out. Friendships are super important as you spend countless hours with the same people every week. My friends and family have supported me and made sure that I don't get burnt out.
